8:30 - 9:30                   2017 Charge Master Update - Terrance Wong, Terrance Wong and Associates
 
                                    Mr. Wong will provide attendees with an update on the 2017 CPT code changes and provide
                                    tips for providers on charge master revisions/additions which may be necessary. Terrance
                                    Wong is the owner of Terrance Wong and Associates, which specializes in hospital charge
                                    master coding and compliance specific to Medicare and Medi-Cal.


9:30 – 10:30                California State Legislative Update – Alex Hawthorne, California Hospital Association
 
                                    Mr. Hawthorne will provide the audience with a “State of the State” update for 2017, including
                                    a recap of 2016 legislative session and priorities for CHA, the outcome of the 2016 election
                                    including state Senate and Assembly races, ballot initiatives and their implications. Mr. Hawthorne
                                    will also give a preview of 2017 and CHA’s priorities.  Alex Hawthorne is a legislative advocate for
                                    the California Hospital Association.
 
10:30-10:45                 AAA Chapter and National Updates – Diane Jones, President, AAA Western Region

11:00 – 12:00               Why People Do What They Do – Tracy L. Spears, Vice President of Healthcare, TSI
                       
                                     Ms. Spears will present a fun, insightful look at improving the cohesiveness of teams, by
                                     identifying the different personality temperaments and interactive styles, their needs, strengths
                                     and motivators.   Tracy L. Spears is a vice-president of healthcare for TSI, an author, consultant
                                     and member of the National Speaker’s Association.
